Just something that could have prevented this somehow.
[In retrospect to him it feels like there were warning signs and he didn't notice. As someone who did say to others he'd help keep people safe, this is a pretty big failure]
Not that I can think of a plan we could have used. Now that one of our number may have been killed by whatever's going on in this town, all that remains is to try to stop it from happening again. But how?
[He's a warrior, not a tactician. Apparently he kind of wonders if Rex perhaps does have some brilliant idea that'd make sure nobody else goes missing in the future, as if it was that easy to come up with a good plan]
Easy. We take what we know now, and build up our defenses in our weak spots. Stay vigilant at night, now that we know someone got killed overnight. Keep our eyes peeled and see if we can catch a glimpse of what's doing this. It's not much, but it's a start.
[Well that sounds like a reasonable enough plan, if incredibly broad. But right now? It's all they have. All Revali can do is nod]
Those Watchers owe us all some explanations. Relying on them for information feels wrong, but they're the only ones who could know anything about last night -- unless something happened to them too.
[They have been giving no response to the bottles, after all! It could be they disappeared as well]
They've been MIA all day, so it's not like it's impossible.
I don't think they have all the answers we want either, though. Sounds like they're just mouthpieces for the real guys in charge, and they don't get to know anything more than what they want them to know.
Truthfully I had expected a bunch of lowly dramatic, evil prophets or something along those lines. The Watchers and their bumbling are far from what you'd expect from people who got us all here for some sort of obscure scheme.
[Not that Revali trusts them at all just because they seem more harmless than he had ever expected. Still...that they're harmless-looking could mean they may be in danger right now]
In person? Not really. Not most of 'em, anyway, that's the thing about them. They hide behind their henchmen, so it's hard to actually get a glimpse at them.
But I know what they want and how they're trying to get it, which is enough for me!
