[ Here is Rex, in their room, with his ear pressed up against a wall! At first he just looks focused, but his expression quickly morphs into one of confusion, then scrutiny, then settling onto...alarm. ]

Hey! Get over here! [ he hisses in Yukio's direction and waves him over with his free arm. ]

oh no i missed this one

[reflash]

[Yukio frowns, walking over quietly.

He doesn't press his head against the wall, but he does listen.]

[ he gives Yukio a few moments to observe, and then, hissing: ]

Do you hear that?!

[reflash]

[He nods, and carefully moves along the wall. He's not getting too close, but he wants to hear if he can identify where this sound is coming from.]

[ still whisper-hissing: ]

It's like there's something moving in the walls!

[reflash]

[Yukio nods sharply, raises a hand to try and get Rex to be quiet. He steps back, grabs a piece of wood he's been using as a sort of walking stick/poking at weird things tool, and raps it against the wall.]

[ slaps Yukio's stick arm away ]

What are you doing, you're gonna alert it to our position!
