[ Rex just ambles into the courtyard and spots Tsuru checking up on all the local kids. He spends a few minutes just. watching. when there's a natural lull in kids for him to talk to, though, Rex approaches. ]
(He tells them something that seems to have their attention and pats them on the head before sending them off! Once they're gone and Rex approaches, he replies,)
(Ah, he looks surprised for a moment, caught off guard by the answer than his expression softens. For all of his menacing and all of his vague behavior, he's a sympathetic person.)
Anyway, one of Tsurumaru's strengths is his natural agility. He's mostly leg. He's fast. And he's able to make a lot of really sharp turns and sneaky moves to throw Rex off of him-- leaping over obstacles, suddenly changing directions-- he's a real weasel and he isn't going to make it easy for Rex to catch him! Kiku, meanwhile, follows behind him, making a lot of twittering. She's laughing.)
[ he gives chase, but it quickly becomes clear that Tsurumaru is not Playing Around and is giving it his all. Rex is no slouch himself, but he's not nearly as quick or precise. He can keep up with avoiding obstacles, but the sharp turns send him nearly tumbling over. ]
Amparo!!
[ If it's gonna be that way, then Rex is gonna play every card he's got! Amparo shifts into hawk form and starts going after Tsurumaru too. Hunter that she is, and airborne, she's got a way better chance of catching him. ]
(Oooh, he's getting serious and Kiku lets out something like a distressed (excited?) call as she flies faster and lower to avoid being caught too. She is but a small, simple magpie okay?)
Ah, isn't that cheating?
(Tsurumaru laughs and decides to run down a more narrow street-- a side one with only one direction to go in. There are trashcans and boxes scattered about but it's nothing he can't handle. He steps and leaps with surprising grace.
... Yeah, Amparo is going to have a much better advantage here.)
She's a part of me, isn't she? That means her tag counts just as much as mine!
[ and while Tsurumaru can jump and leap over obstacles as gracefully as possible, that's never going to beat the advantage of a direct aerial approach. As Amparo gets in close, she SWOOPS and dives for him ]

(Obviously?)
As wild as they are, they're still children. If you don't like the game, then you only need to find one everyone can enjoy~

Oi! Careful!
(And even Kiku is beginning to get agitated, chirping loudly in what might be considered a warning.)
